National Farm Workers Day

National Farm Workers Day is recognized annually on March 31st. The day is for celebrating the hardworking people who dedicate their lives to bringing fresh food to our tables. From working in fields to caring for livestock, farmers have a multitude of jobs that are demanding. They work sunrise to sunset to provide us with the food we view as everyday staples in our lives. With the long hours and weathering the harsh conditions of this occupation, we thank the farm and ranchers who provide for our families and economy.

To commemorate this day, you can show your support by thanking a farm worker or raise awareness through social media. You can also choose to raise funds for several agricultural charities or donate to them yourself. In anything, be mindful of the labor that went into bringing food from the farm to your grocery store.
